Calef's Country Store

Calef's Country Store is one of the oldest country stores in New England and is certainly unique among oldtime general stores. Calef's has always enjoyed a strong following of loyal local customers, but until recently, had limited reach beyond the southeastern part of New Hampshire. Calef's approched Big Hit Media in the Fall of 2010 with two tasks: extend the awareness and reach of Calef's to a broader audience and to bring some of the "Calef's experience" to an online audience.

Our first order of business was to collect the wealth of visual assets Calef's had: old photos, 35mm slides, newspaper clippings and more. We then digitized all of these assets both for posterity and for use on the new website and in advertising. These assets allowed our designers to develop a site that is as close to walking in the squeaky front porch door as you can get in a website.
