Our relationship with TimberNook began when pediatric occupational therapist Angela Hanson stopped by with a business idea and a logo sketch on a scrap piece of paper. Fast forward 4 years and TimberNook has become a worldwide phenomenon in the area of nature-based therapeutic programming for children – with franchise locations throughout the continental United States, New Zealand and Australia.

Big Hit Media has worked closely with TimberNook to develop the brand, build the franchise model and market to parents and child-development professionals looking to integrate this exciting methodology into their practice or school. Big Hit also provided promotional materials and marketing strategy for Angela's first book, Balanced and Barefoot: How Unrestricted Outdoor Play Makes for Strong, Confident, and Capable Children.

The TimberNook blog, Balanced and Barefoot, has seen monthly traffic numbers of over 1 million visitors and has been featured in The Washington Post, NPR education blogs, Times of India, Children & Nature Network, Jerusalem Post, Huffington Post, DIY Network Blog, Johnson & Johnson TEDx, and MindShift.
